Tournament Update!
There has been another mistake with the tournament schedule. All games on Saturday will start one hour later than originally scheduled. Games will begin at 11:00 am, not 10:00 am.
Sorry about that.

Oops. There was a little mistake on the schedule. The last game on Saturday should be Obrien Training -vs- Young & Old Guns, not Williams Lake. It has been corrected on the Schedule.
Please note that the Men's division of this tournament has been cancelled due to a lack of teams entered.

MAJOR CHANGES TO LEAGUE
STRUCTURE AND SCHEDULES!
Hello All Teams & Players,
Major changes have been made to the schedule and the league structure starting January 15th that will affect all teams in all divisions, both men’s and women’s.
Because of the imbalance in parity with some teams in most divisions, and after consulting with the team managers who attended the meeting in December, we will be making the following changes:
On the Men’s side we will be moving the PGYSA Kodiaks U17 boys into Division 1, and both the Korean Church and the PG Listings/Mood Bucket teams will be moved to Division 3 for the remainder of this season. This will give us 5 teams in Division 1, and 8 teams in each of Division 2 and 3.
In the women’s league we will be moving Myatovic Construction to Division 3 and Westcana Electric to Division 2 for the remainder of the season.
In addition the Women’s Division 1 teams will be playing a series of exhibition games against the top 3 teams in Division 2, that is Design Logic, CNC NCSS, and Accelerated Sports Physio.
New schedules are available now on the Schedule Page. They are dated January 10, 2012.
Please ensure that all of your players are made aware of these changes.
Also, we will be making some radical changes to the league structure for next season. We will be adopting a Tiered System of play, with 4 or 5 Tiers of 4 teams in each Tier, and a promotion/relegation system to take place every 4th week where the bottom team in each Tier will drop down a Tier and the top teams will move up a tier. This will continue every 4 weeks throughout the season. This will keep a stronger team from dominating a lower division and will, as the season goes along, ensure that all teams are playing against other teams of similar skill level and allowing all teams a chance to play against a number of different teams throughout the season.

2012 WOMEN’S RECREATIONAL
& MEN’S OVER 30 RECREATIONAL
INDOOR SOCCER TOURNAMENT
January 20, 21 & 22, 2012

The B.C. Indoor Soccer League extends this invitation to your team to come play in the 2012 Women’s Recreational or the Men’s over 30 Recreational Indoor Soccer Tournament in Prince George on January 20, 21 & 22, 2012 at the Northern Sport Centre at UNBC.
On the big artificial grass fields we will be playing 6v6 (5 + a goalie per team).
Please note that we will still be hosting our major 26th annual men’s and 16th annual women’s Blackburn Cup competitive indoor soccer tournament on March 9, 10 & 11, 2012, with larger prize money and which is open to all competitive or 1st division teams, or any other team that wants to try their hand against some of the best indoor soccer teams in the region.
The 2012 Recreational tournament will emphasize fun over competitiveness and is open to most recreational type teams.
Women’s Division Rules:
- Open to Recreational teams only. For PG Teams that is Division 2 or lower teams.
- For PG teams you will be allowed to pick up a maximum of 2 additional players who are not on your regular league team roster. These 2 pick-ups can be from the competitive division or unregistered players.
- All other teams must submit their team rosters in advance for approval by the tournament committee before their entry will be accepted.
- A maximum of 16 players are allowed per team.
Men’s Division Rules:
- All players must be 30 years of age or older by the date of the tournament. Valid picture I.D. may be required.
- A maximum of 16 players are allowed per team.
The BCISL reserves the right to refuse entry to any team.
If you are planning to enter our March tournament then we strongly discourage your team from entering this Recreational tournament.
TOURNAMENT FEATURES
- 3 guaranteed games.
- Prizes: Probably money for winning teams, but the amounts will depend on the number of teams entered. (Winning teams will at least win their entry fee back).
- Play on the big artificial grass fields at the Northern Sport Centre.
ENTRY FEE: $420 per team. ($375 plus 12% HST)
Please note: Space is limited so enter your team early to avoid disappointment.
In order to reserve a spot for your team please complete the application and team list forms available here and return it with the full entry fee no later than January 10th, 2012.
